Hi Cat, no not I said the fly. We leave next Tuesday and will be on our bikes after we arrive in Zurich on the 20th...can't wait. It was a trip down the Rhine and Danube and 2004 which started us on this journey and dream. Your photos captured what we saw and set the dream in motion...we saw cyclists too and thought. "That's us". With touring cyclists in the family we thought if the youngins can do it, so can we.

This is tame compared to what the youngins have done. They have adventure as second names. Had I not done a TT and a boat ride on the Rhine I would never be leaving next Tuesday. Get yourself a gel seat and ride everyday...the backside soon quits complaining.

Penny, we always wanted to do a bicycle trip in Europe but I fear I am no longer in good enough condition. To me it seems monumental to pack and ship a bicycle and everything that goes with it, tools etc. My husband and friend are talking about cycling in Oregon and I might participate for some of the easier parts. This would only include putting the bikes on the roof of the car. When we were much younger we bicycle camped around Prince Edward Island and it was very enjoyable except for 1 furious dog. I hope you have a very good time and no rain . I would like to hear about it afterwards.
