There you are Augusta. Old pictures from the forties and eighties, that were scanned at the shop in town , and e-mailed to me.
It tempted me to buy a scanner, and slowly go through our old albums, scanning pictures to the safety of CD's. Don't leave town , till you've seen the country. |

nation ~ Do buy the scanner, they are well worth it. My husband has recently completed his family history & was able to raid relatives photo albums, scan the pics & return them to their owners. Then incorporate the pics in the pages of the family history, it made it come alive. It is a wonderful thing to have.
Live each day....instead of counting the years. |

Thanks Nation! They came up well didn't they? Dimpz is right, I think I will get a new scanner (maybe my husband would like one for Fathers Day LOL), Great idea to scan old photos for safety. I always wonder that if my house was on fire how am I going to carry out kids, cats, dog and a hundred photo albums?! I don't know how you can replace wedding and baby photos etc. I Have my grandfathers old album too which has, amongst other things, photos of Napier immediately after the big earthquake. I guess that's my next project, just when I thought I'd finished printing & filing 3 years of photos and editing our UK video. Sigh.
BTW is that you in the forties photo?? |

Certainly is me. Young and innocent !!! The boy behind me is a multi-millionaire in landscape gardening. But at that age in the photo, the nearest we got to gardening, was sitting on the wall !!
