This was the Grand Tour of Britain & Ireland, the first of my three Trafalgar trips, taken in 1997. I had a terrific time.
The film "My Pub Runneth Over includes England (London, Stonehenge, walled cities & castles), Wales, Ireland (kiss the Blarney Stone, Dublin, Cliffs of Moher), and Scotland (Edinburgh, the highlands, bagpipes & the Isle of Skye), plus much more, including interviews, and, of course, pubs. The video can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed connection. This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. Im not selling anything. To watch the film, copy the address of my video site into your browser: http://www.geocities.com/intrepidberkeleyexplorer/Video.html There are 18 of my other amateur travel videos on-line covering all seven continents. Give these films a try. Feedback is welcome. Be a film critic. (I also have still pictures from around the world). The Intrepid Berkeley Explorer |

Hi Intrepid,
I would love to see your videos and pics, but as I click on the link to adventures, all I get besides music is the logo of the place on the left, the login icon and your name on the right and an empty page. I tried this once before when you posted some other video and the same thing happened. I do hace DSL, so I've no idea what could be wrong. If I'm not doing something right, please let me know. Fab |

Fab,
"My Pub Runneth Over" works on my computer, which suggests that it's not a server malfunction. We can solve this, if we work together. Are you saying there is a bad link somewhere on my video page that does not work for you? Is it one link or all of them? Please be specific so I can check out the link. Any link should get you to Adventure Pics, whose URL for my videos is http://www.adventurepics.com/IBE/video/video1.asp Copy that into your browser and try a film, if you have not made it that far yet. If the failure comes at AdventurePics, now we have to go through all the known causes of problems watching the videos. I'm the filmmaker, not a technical person; but there's a track record of serious suspects that could apply in your case. 1. Macs. If you have a Mac, it's not clear the videos will play, unless you have skills to manipulate the Mac to overcome whatever the problem is. 2. Ad-Blockers. Pop-up ad blockers, such as pop-up stopper, or any of its compatriots, will stop the videos in their tracks along the lines you described. If you have any ad blocker, disable it and try the videos again. 3. Other programs. The list of remaining suspects includes anti-virus programs, which should also be disabled. After that, try any program which you know may have interfered with streaming audio or video in the past and disable that. This includes firewalls, from any source including Internet Explorer and Windows. 4. Your ISP. If none of the above cures works, I would contact your ISP to find out whether something is wrong in that quarter. This complets my list of the usual suspects. Let me know if any of them is found guilty. Should the problem persist, let's try again to solve it. The Intrepid Berkeley Explorer |

Hi Intrepid,
Finally! The culprit was the firewall. Once disabled, no problems. I decided to start with Gondola, and I revisited my trip to Italy, you did a wonderful job. Loved the mouth of truth concept and your sense of hunor troughout the movie. The choice of music is excellent. What can I tell you, Very very enjoyable. May I share the page with my friends? Also, where are your still pics? I'm an amateur photographer, very interested in those. Thanks for sharing, Fab |

Hi, Fab,
I'm so pleased that the technical problem was solved. Congratulations to us. The computer world is full of gremlins meant to help us that disable everything to the point where nothing works anymore. And each person's computer has different gremlins. Glad you liked "Gondola". The Mouth of Truth was very useful, since I am an unreliable source speaking on camera. Please share everything. I am making these films available on the internet so people can see (and hopefully enjoy) them. The more viewers the better. My still pictures are part of the Intrepid Berkeley Explorer website, covering many pages. If you go back to the first video page, with the address on my original post, at the very bottom of that page is a link to the still pictures home page. At that point, you will have many choices, once the entire page downloads. Good Luck. The Intrepid Berkeley Explorer |
