Thank you so much, Jane, for sharing your delightful photos. I'm doing the Explorer beginning June 11, and the excitement is building every day. You've given me a preview of some of the sights to be seen. Thanks again.

Oh sooz, you are going to love it!! It's long and I got pretty tired of hopping on and off that bus lol but I loved it. We were so anxious to see Ireland as my friend and I both have Irish ancestors..but I thought Scotland was so awesome...I will be anxious to see if you have Caroline as your TD or Steve as you bus driver.
If you have any questions...let me know..I will be glad to help in any way I can.

Jane, I've been to Ireland three years ago, and spent two weeks touring with Globus. The land of 40 shades of green. How very true.

The one thing I am a little worried about with a 25 day tour is my age. I'm just past my mid-60's, and so far have only taken two week tours. I've poured over the itinerary, and it looks like I can do it though I may get tired. That's when you don't care what the hotel looks like--as long as it has a bed to lie down in.

Did you find that you were playing out of energy before the tour was over?

Hi Sooz I was 61 1/2 in September. Yes, I got very tired...but I also had a cold go into bronchitis /asthma and I think that sort of helped make me so tired. Most of the time we were going and doing so much that I didnt have time to think about being tired. If you get tired, you can find a bakery or a little pub and sit down and eat something and just watch the people for awhile. You dont have to go in every shop or church around.lol ..but I think we tried for the first two weeks. One day we passed on going with the group on a morning tour..and just rested and slept. I think you will do just fine.

JaneCalif,
Thanks so much for sharing your pictures - I have not been to Ireland yet, but I have been to England & Scotland and I truly enjoyed remembering all the places I had been. I am glad there are people like you that enjoy taking the time to share with others. Smiler

Jane, I do have a question. I'm so cold natured that I'm wondering if I should take only long sleeved tops and heavy jackets--even though it is going to be June 11 through July 5, I'm there.

My e-mail is sparchman@austin.rr.com if you would prefer to answer there.

Thanks in advance, Sooz
