Hello everyone!

I bought a Vosonic X-drive II a few years ago and I'm hoping someone can help me out. The digital camera I have now uses Memory Stick Pro media and is compatible with the X drive, however, my camera is quite bulky so I'm looking for a sleeker replacement for our TT through Europe. The camera I'm looking at accepts Memory Stick Pro Duo. Will this be compatible with my X-drive? If anyone can help me out on this it would be greatly appreciated!

Forget about your X-drive. Sorry, they are now a part of the past.

Just buy an extra 1GB memory stick or even two.

While I appreciate your advice - I can't just throw it away! Big Grin It has 20GB storage capacity, I would have to buy 20 memory cards to replace it at that rate Wink

I believe I read that the memory stick duo cards all come with an adaptor that make them interchangable with a memory sitck pro so I guess I'll see if that works for me.

Thanks again Cats! Have a good weekend Smiler

XDrive Info

Hi donnaleed ... I'm not very good at this techie stuff but I did research XDrives as a possibility for our trip .. here is a site that has some information that may help ... the first XDrive described on this site does accept memory sticks .... have a look .. if it doesn't have any info that's useful at least I gave it a shot! In the dark .. but a shot anyway! Cool

If you take your XDrive to a Henry's (if you have one there ... ?!?) they will be able to help you I am sure!

Technology does move on, and the older storage devices, such as the XSDrive, don't support the newer storage media. I suspect there's nothing you can do about that.

These days I use my iPod for storing pictures on. Works beautifully.

Thanks so much for the help Tammie - I appreciate the effort! Wink We don't have a Henry's unfortunately but I will maybe make a few phone calls to some local camera stores.

Thanks for the info Chris - I guess I'll have to keep my bulky old camera for our trip or buy a new camera, new memory card and an iPod - good grief Frowner

Donna-Lee,
I am always a firm believer that if there is a will there is a way ... and I never give up until the fat lady sings ... Big Grin
With all the adpaters and technology these days .. you never know what can be accomplished.
So .. you are welcome for my futile attempt as I wasn't sure how hold your X-Drive really is! The newer ones seems to accept all kinds of memory. Good luck with the search! Smiler

Woo Hoo!

I went out and bought the card and camera today with my fingers crossed and my X-drive works perfectly with the adaptor the new media card comes with! I guess I can cross the iPod off my "To Buy" list for our trip! Big Grin

Thanks again for everyone's help!
