I am going on the London Paris Rome tour in August. I have bought a cammera backpack to take my digital camera body, different lenses, battery charger, hyperdrive, etc. It's small enough to fit under the airplane seat but I don't know if it will be wise to carry it around for the whole day during the tours. Has any of you have a recommendation on how big the size of a camera bag should be to comfortably carry it around during the tours? Thank you!

The size of the camera bag is really up to you and how much you want to keep with you. I will be keeping my large camera bag with me most of the time (two bodies, four lenses, light meter, filter sets etc etc) however I also have a snoot bag that will fit on a belt pack. This is a good solution for day trips when you really don't want the backpack with you. The camera with one lens goes in the snoot bag while you cram the belt pack with whatever you are likely to need (batteries, filters, even an extra lens if it's a compact).
