Jill C: Saw your post about Scrapbooking and your DR table--sounds like my table, but mine's not from Scrapbooking.

Leila and I are investigating a Winter trip to Italy/Sicily in March 2007. I sent an e-mail to Colleen B. (TT guide) asking for some info as she does that particular tour. She will not be doing tours in March 2007, but did give me some good info, as we try to decide what we want to do. Leila is having radiation right now for Breast Cancer, but it looks very positive. So we're planning ahead.

Jamaica is a place we've missed. Marty and I took a 14 day cruise from Osaka to Hong Kong in April for his 75th BD and going to the Big Island for 2 weeks in November, so that meant no tours this year. I did buy a digital camera for the Asia trip and, although I got wonderful pictures, I wish I had a view finder. I noted your post about that a few weeks ago.

Happy Scrapping!! Ciao!!

I just found out recently that there are scrapbooking cruises! I had never heard of such a thing, but two ladies from my town are going on a scrapbooking cruise to Alaska.

RaroGirl,

What a great idea, Smiler I know I have heard of Quilting cruises, I think the reason Srapbooking is so popular is because prople of all ages can do it, and it isn't a gender thing.

Scrapbooking weekends are becoming very popular. My daughter-in-law has been on a couple, they were held in resort hotels where all the food etc. is included. Different classes are offered throughout the Sat. & Sun, plenty of free "stuff" from the various vendors in attendance....or you can just do your own thing, the choice is yours.
It sounds like they had a lot of fun. On the Sat. night they had a p.j. parade with prizes for the most outrageous ones Wink Don't think they had much sleep though Big Grin

We have them here too in our local High School. I signed up for the 4 week session last winter, it was a lot of fun and sooooo many ideas from the others. That's where I was introduced to iris folding, it makes a nice addition to a page.

Hi Missie, the class was once a week, supposed to be for 3 hrs. but you know what it's like when you get a bunch of scrapaholics together Big Grin The cost for the 4 weeks came to $50.00 using our own materials. The instructor was a gem, she had some papers, stickers etc. for sale at very low prices but no pressure to buy from her. The night we attempted the iris folding, she precut all the paper etc for us using all her scrap paper - at no charge. We had a lot of fun, helped pass some cold winter nights!

Hi scottie,

I go to a friends house on a friday night, she is a fully trained Scrapbooker and very artistic, it starts about 7pm and we have been known to still be there at 3am in the morning.

I never lose track of time, except when Scrapboobing, it is infectious. Smiler

I wish I had a good friend who was into scrapbooking. I would love to have someone to do it with. Actually, my best friend is into it but she lives 100 miles away so we don't get together that often. I need to find a fellow scrapper who lives in my town.

RaroGirl: you and your friend will have to meet halfway and have a weekend cropping away to your heart's content Smiler
I know what you mean though, it is nice to share your ideas.

RaroGirl,

Why not do a couple of workshops, I am sure you would meet some nice people that you have a lot in common with, and who knows you just might meet that special friend. Smiler

I have read all the post on this site and they are great to read and pleaseing to know that there are a lot of people out there with a passion for scrap booking their photos. If they are not put into photo safe acid free albums we will not have them in years to come or for the next generation to see so look after them now and get your friends and family to do the same. I have been scrap booking for about 3 1/2years and am a consultant with a well know company will not mention the name here as not sure if I am allowed to do that if you know someone like me in your area go and join her scrap book workshops and you will get lot of ideas to keep up the great work.
