Hi Xponent
Take both kinds of shoes. Definitely wear walking shoes around the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings but most of the other places sandals are probably okay. |

Thanks CMR for your reply. Since I like to travel light, I would definitely prefer not to carry 2 pairs of footwear. Since you mentioned sandals are "probably okay", i will most likely end up excluding them from my packing list.
