Yes the desert safaris are enjoyable aren't they - I loved the 4WD dune bashing in the desert followed by the lovely "Bedouin" BBQ dinner! Did you do the Dhow dinner cruise along the creek? I thought the food on that was scrumptious and the atmosphere divine.

No, sorry to say Stinkerbelle, we did not do the creek evening. We were only there 4 days enroute to London and did not stop on the return leg of our journey although now I wish we had instead of Singapore. Just ran out of time but it will be top of the list when we go back as we heard from a couple back at the hotel that it was a really lovely evening.

It was, and the food and atmosphere is just amazing. I had this divine arabian dessert called Umm Ali, and I have tried to make it at home, but it was nowhere near as nice as what I had on the dhow.

Yes it is a lovely evening and worth doing. The food and atmosphere is really amazing. I had this scrumptious dessert called Umm Ali and I have tried to make it a few times at home but it is nowhere near as nice as the one I had on the dhow cruise.
