I'm thinking of doing this tour as well, Dalene, and would be interested in feedback from anyone who's done a TT there recently.

Ruby 74 ~ I almost did this tour a few years ago but there was trouble in the Middle-East and my husband refused. The Middle-East is a boiling pot and one never knows what to expect. I feel that the time has come for me now to do this tour and I will definitely do Israel with TT -I could not get a cheaper package elsewhere. But in the meantime I've looked at Scandinavia and ohhh it is so beautiful and I can get a reasonable R.S.A. tour package, and I don't know which one I'll do first! Decisions, decisions! Big Grin

I know, Dalene, there are too many places to choose from - hard to narrow it down to just one when you want to go everywhere! My first choice is Beijing/Mongolia/Siberia but unfortunately it's out of my price range, which is why I'm now looking into Israel (and I'll probably end up doing this TT).

By the way, I've also looked into Scandinavia... was there about 8 years ago on my own but did not see the fjords, which I would love to see...

Good luck with your decision! Smiler

Ruby ~ Mongolia and Siberia ... I can only dream. Big Grin

I don't know if you like reading - a wonderful book to read about Mongolia is: Kuraj by S. Dinatale. Unputdownable.

My sister went to visit her son who is working in St Petersburg in Russia and she travelled there on her own. Another destination in my wish basket.

I will have to narrow them down sometime. Big Grin

Daléne - sounds from what you and Rex reported about the summer weather over there that Russia has come to you!

It sure feels like it Ann! We had to get out our warmest clothes and I'm off now with my camera to see if I can get a few nice pics of the snow! Smiler

Don't forget that it's wet, will you - take a few towels. Smiler

It's exciting, but I hope there's not more on the way. There're too many Spring bird and animal babies around to cope with it at this time of year.

Is it a record, by the way?

Yes, Ann, this is what I would call a freak cold spell and Nature wasn't prepared for it. Smiler
