I'm looking for a tour of Beijing for the August 2008 Olympics.
Any plans? |

The prices are doubling while the Olympics are on in Beijing. We booked a tour earlier to avoid the price increase for the Olympics.

I've seen that several other tour companies are not running tours during the Olympics because of how busy it will be. First, you'll have all the foreigners there to compete and watch, then you'll have all the locals from every corner of China coming to watch history being made. The Olympics are a VERY BIG THING over there.
I certainly would not want to be anywhere near Beijing or its tourist sites during that time. But if you do, I'm seconding mid life traveller in saying that you're going to pay a whole lot more for it. That's why I went this last august. |
