Madison Square Garden is Diagonally across 7th Avenue from Macy's 7 th Avenue & 34 St. entrance. Macy's more famous entrance( seen each year during the Thanksgiving Day Parade) is on Herald Square & 34 St.

You can take a Tour of Madison Squre Garden( MSG).

Yankee Stadium- "The House that Ruth Built" is due to be replaced in 2009 with a NEW Stadium - currently under construction.

Seriously, Yankee Stadium is worth a look - and its an interesting trip.

Well I'm a native New Yorker and a Yankee fan, but unless a traveler from far off was a real die hard baseball fan, I wouldn't recommend a trip there - too out of the way. . . nothing else to enjoy and traveling through an area of the suburbs that are not appealing just to see a stadium...to each his own....and the beloved Phil Rizzuto - a NY Yankee Hall of Fame short stop player and later broadcaster, died today at 89 - so sad - he was special!

Personally, I'm not a sports fan, but I am sure that these famous sporting icons would be very interesting to those who are.

If I get to see the main tourist sights, plus the Met, the Frick, the Guggenheim and a Broadway show or two I will be as happy as can be.

As soon as TT get around to releasing theirs, I can see how the whole trip slots together. I can then confirm travel dates and start looking for accommodation for my free days etc.

Also CA2 - going to a game at Yankee Stadium - sports fan or not - is an experience you will never forget. BUT, try to get a good seat.

The third paragraph of my previous post does not make sense because TTweb have had a little chop at it.

I am looking at the 'Enchanting Maritimes' of the Canadian tours particularing interested in St. John, New Brunswick, to see the Bay of Fundy.

Does anyone know if you get an opportunity to stay long enough to see the difference in the tides? Does anyone recommend taking a boat to watch the 'Reversing Falls'or can you just see it from the town?

The display I just saw at the Griffith Park Observatory regarding these tidal changes have fascinated me.

Thanks for any information.

Pegasus, watching the tides is well worth it. I hope you get the chance to see it. We were not on a TT but on our own tour and saw the tide come in at the Bay of Fundy. I believe we were in Digby. We stayed at a B&B and saw it right from our hotel. It was fascinating. We loved the Maritimes!

srd: Thanks so much - Sorry for the delay in responding -I have been out of my office.

I see the Bay of Fundy on a map & it looks fairly large so should be able to watch the tides o.k. from St. Johns. You have validated my importance to see it!!

We might make an early side trip over there!
I learned that they have a harbor scenic
boat cruise available so would be able to really see the 'Reversing River' also.

Thanks again - so much!!! Pegasus

We are booked for the "Cost Saver" of this trip next year around then end of July and just want a taste of some of the places especially in Canada but will be returning to Washington and New York. We love the no worry about driving and getting lost that a tour brings. Our own independent travels often has us doing "much scenic touring" when we are "lost" attempting to get to places so even if the tour is not quite as we expect they rarely get lost?? We hope.
