I just wanted to mention for those who are interested; I picked up the documents for my forthcoming 'Western Discoverer' trip yesterday and found that there has been a newly-inserted optional which involves a helcopter ride from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon 'Skywalk'.

There isn't a price given as yet, but I must say that TT have made a very quick move to get this attraction included in their optionals.

I won't be taking this one - a free day in LV to wander and look is much more attractive to me.

These glass platforms seem to be the latest craze. The Ureka Tower in Melbourne (touted as the tallest apartment building in the world) opened its new 'glass cube' elevator yesterday.
The face of the building initially looks flat, then the cube moves out horizontally before descending down the outside of the building. The cube is totally made of glass (including the floor) but has some wonderful process that lets it start off opaque and change to clear as it starts to descend. Not for me !!!!!

The Euromast tower in Rotterdam also has a clear floor - as clear as a well-worn lucite surface can be. You sit in the donut-shaped platform as it ascends and revolves around the tower. Although it's only about 600 ft high, it's a nice experience and a good view of the city. We did that one on Best of Holland, Belgium & Luxembourg.
