We have just completed a 10 days tour of Italy, we had great weather,
wonderful group of tour companions, beatiful cities, none are the same,
hard working tour director and safe driver. At the end of the trip
whenit was time to tip our tour director and driver, we followed the
suggested guideline i.e. $us 4.00/day/person for tour director and
$2.50/day/person for driver. We based it on 9days as the 10th
dayeveryone departed for the airport. We enclosed $us 70.00 for the tour
directorand $us45.00 for the driver. One the last day, our tour
director who was friendly during the tour gave uss the cold shoulder,
the driver was just as friendly, did we undertipped ? Can someone
comment on this based on their past experience.

I think that you were very generous and if the T.D. didn't appreciate your tip, then he has a problem with greed and entitlement.
