Comparing Airport securities and the recent bombing of JW Marriott at Jakarta, it sends shivers into my spine.
When I was in US, I found that the security at San Francisco & Los Angeles were very tight however, on my own observation, I noticed that the scanning & screening was done well before you board a plane. In other words, you wont be scan just before you board the plane unlike Asian countries. There is a danger here as anything can happen if you are not scanned just before you board the plane as you have been lingering for at least 2 hours in an after " screened" area. Any comments. before you board the plane. |

In addition on the point, how about Europe, England, Germany & etc... ?
Do they scan you before you board the plane. In my opinion, this would be a better arrangement. Any feedbacks ? |

Hi Travellingman, all scanning is done prior to arriving at the boarding area. Once you arrrive at that area you have no contact with the unscanned outside world. All people there have boarding passes and have been scanned and any people exiting from planes that just arrived were scanned before their boarding at their departure gateways. Happy Trails!

Hi, Roxy, Thanks for your comments .
You wrote >>"on arrival & before you exit to another departure gate, you be scanned>>", is that the same with Europe ? 1) When I touched down in San Francisco from Taiwan, we were checked by securities just after existing fron the plane but before reaching the immigration checkpoint. Roxy, we just have to be very cautious and anything can be slipped in from the outside world into the scanned area. Just a thot. Thanks |
