I have just returned from a week in Boston and traveling the New England coast from Newport, R.I. thru half of Maine. We have been fortunate enough to travel all over this country and appreciate its beauty and the people we have met over the years. Anyone wanting to see the U.S. won't be disappointed. The past year has been tough, but this county has a good heart.

Barb: Trafalgar has a tour called Autumn Colors which visits Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Massachusets, and only runs from 9/15 to 10/15 while the Fall colors are out. It sounds delightful over there. Has anyone here taken that tour? I'm curious about it.

Hello Caitie (I read so many of your posts I think I know you).

I haven't done a TT Autumn Colours tour but I have friends in New Hampshire and have visited them in fall. They drove us through NH, Maine and Vermont and it was unbelievably beautiful. We returned to NH a couple of years ago with our husbands and they too just loved it and would really like to return some day. I was even forgiven for my lousy navigation skills on the drive from Boston airport to NH.

Barbsb, I like to see people who love their country passionately, like I do with Australia. I am hoping to visit Canada & USA, in 2 years time.

Lee, I hope to visit Australia/New Zealand in 3 years time. This year we did a road trip around our very own province (which I have already gushed about once on this BB). Next year we are off to Europe. The year after that I am hoping for another road trip...this time down through Washington State and along the Oregon Coast. After that I hope to go overseas again... and my vote is for Down Under. Hope this bulletin board will still be around to help me plan it! Of course, all this is based on the fact that I'm hoping to have the funds for a fantastic vacation every year. Guess I'll have to keep the boyfriend working hard!!
