Has anyone taken the Trailblazer? I could not find very much on this tour on the BB. It starts in Las Vegas and spends nights in Sedona, Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Powell, and Zion National Park. Any feedback on the pace of the tour, hotels, options, etc. would be appreciated.
Thanks!

My wife and I are taking this tour on September 28.

joe - NO, but I've met one of the Guides that does the tour. He felt we'd love it - we'd just done the Route 66 tour which is meant to be "lively". Its not really ... Cool You just need to be willing to get off the Coach and enjoy life.

He told us that the Tour you mention - out of Vegas - is great and that if we liked the Grand Canyon we'd love it. He felt the Canyons etc on this tour were "better" in many respects than the GC.

You do need to be able to walk though ... Wink

Hope this helps in some small way.

Thanks Mike
We love to walk. One of my biggest complaints about Trafalgar tours is that there are not enough opportunities to get out and walk and see things close up. I would really like to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon but I know that we will not have anywhere near enough time.

As far as canyons are concerned, we are following this tour up with a tour of Mexico's Copper Canyon. That should be enough canyons for a while.

The copper canyon tour has always interested me. I would be happy to hear your experiences--or at least if you liked it. I know lots of tour companies do it. I imagine the views from the train (if that is how you are doing it) are spectacular. Are you leaving from Phoenix?

Some great train rides across the USA; eg Chicago to LA via Winslow etc.

They have a lovely old steam train in the Grand Canyon. Well, when I say "in" ... Cool

I have been trying to find out more info on Trafalgar’s Copper Canyon on another thread. Unfortunately, I have not got any response. I was able to find out a lot more about this tour on other Bulletin Boards when I was checking out the hotels. It is times like this that I get very discouraged by TT’s BB. So many people come on here looking for info but do not seem prepared to provide any feedback.

This appears to be a very popular tour (I could not get the first couple of dates that I wanted) but there is virtually no info on it.

As far as the tour goes, we will be departing from Phoenix but it does stop in Tucson to pick up people. It does include a train ride. I believe it leaves very early in the morning and that it is most of one day.
