We're off on the Best of Canada's West in just 2 weeks. Are we correct in assuming that we do not need special plugs or adaptors for our hair dryer-razor, etc. Planning to take about $500 in Canadian dollars for spending and US travelers checks for options. What about cold weather gear for the Rockies--Jasper National Park & the glacier tour. What about rain gear?
Will we need shorts for warm weather? Any suggestions would be appreciated |

I think you should bring raingear, a rainjacket would be good which could double as a wind jacket. It probably wont be too cold. On the glacier it can be cold and windy but if the sun is shining it can also be quite hot. Bring sunscreen.
Where do you live. If you are from the States, the plugs are the same. |

At the moment we are having a bit of a heat wave. It is suppose to reach 30C today. Our weather is variable. One wears shorts here when the temperature is around 20C. Depends on where you are from if you find it cool or not.

Not sure where you live, but here is the weather for Jasper & surrounding area until Aug 14 in fahrenheit. Hope it helps. Dress in layers.

Raymond - I'd be very interested in your views of Canada on return.
