One of my friends and I had booked a trip to Montreal and Quebec City through another tour company. Had booked the tour last November for a trip in May (5/23/03 thru 5/27/03)by bus. Just before the final payment was due, was notified by the TA that the trip had been cancelled. My friend had never been to Montreal and Quebec City and was very disappointed that the tour was cancelled as she had already gotten her plane ticket from South Carolina to Boston (Non-refundable). The tour was scheduled to leave from the Boston area for Montreal as the first leg of the trip.
We're now going to Maine instead by car as we haven't been to Maine in a very long time but, needless to say, both of us are disappointed. Apparently, many people are not traveling by bus either.
I belong to a travel club in my local area and many of their overnight bus tours are not going either.
Oh!! Well!! Hope better days will return again as we sure need to get out of our houses and see the world.

Thanks for the information but, unfortunately, my friend only has a couple of weeks in the Boston area and we were going to do the Montreal/Quebec City tour. After we do Maine, she'll be flying back to South Carolina and won't be back until sometime in 2004. We try to do something together when she comes up north.
There's always another time to do the trip. I've been to both Cities and enjoyed them. This was going to be her first trip to Montreal & Quebec City.
