It's 3 weeks today until we head to the states.
I lost my Mother on Friday (aged 60) after caring for her for 10 years. She was determined I would go on this trip so I'm definitely going - I so need the break. I know she will be with me now too.

Rainbow: My condolences on the loss of your mother. It's never easy to lose a parent at any age. I hope your trip will be everything you expect and more.

Thanks guys, this is the hardest time. I am only 33 and have already lost both my parents. One thing they both passed on to me was a love of travel - my Dad came from Yorkshire, UK and the two of them travelled a lot together. I had the honour of seeing Europe etc. with my Mum in 1999 and then I took her on a cruise of the Mexican Riviera 2 years ago. I am so glad I had those experiences. Mum will be with me every step of this trip.

Rainbow-
I am so sorry to hear that you've lost your mother.

Your trip seems like such a fitting way to honor her memory and the love of travel that she passed on to you.

I hope it's wonderful in every possible way. Wink

Aah, Rainbow, I'm so sorry for your loss, I really am. Go on your trip and as our Scottie says, your Mum will be with you every step of the way. May you have peace from your sorrow in the coming days, Rainbow.

Rainbow,

I am so sorry for your loss. I too lost both my parents, my mum died when I was 19 and my beloved father died 21 months ago. I took my first TT 3 months after dad died to help clear my head. Travelling was something we always talked about doing but never did. I'm 35 and understand how hard it is to lose both parents. Go on your trip, it's something they would have wanted you to do and yes, she will be with you every step of the way.

Rainbow, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost both of my parents when I was 27. My parents never had any money to travel anywhere. It's one of the reasons why I decided to do as much travelling as I can while I'm still young enough to enjoy it. No matter where you go, your mother will be with you in spirit.

Rainbow Your mother will be with you every step of the trip and blessing you for going. It's hard to keep going, but doing something like this will help ease the sorrow. Come back with lots of happy memories.
