Question: what is the best way of "doing" San D from Anaheim. We have found no info on the web for day tours that take in the city only. 3 out of 4 of us have already been to Sea World and the Zoo so we would prefer to miss these and just concentrate on getting a good look at the city.
Well - less than 50 Sleeps to go. It is nearly impossible to do San Diego from Anaheim. The only way we could manage it was to get up VERY early and cab it into Los A to catch a transfer to San D and then do the San D tour then transfer back to Los A and cab it back to Anaheim - way toooo much effort. We have decided to have a bit of fun and do the Tijuana Shopping Tour - should be an eye opener. Cheers Vicki

We ended up not doing the Tijuana Tour booked as the papers were full of reports of Drug Gang shootings. We booked a Tour of the OC area instead and had a great time. We also did the LA Shopping Spree from Anaheim. I would not recommend this tour. They drop you off in the Fashion District of downtown LA for 4 hours with only a photocopied map of the area. Lots of wholesale outlets that do not sell to the general public. Santee Alley was an out door shopping market type of thing with heaps of stalls selling the same thing. If you stopped at one stall you got hounded by everyone else in the area selling the same stuff - very uncomfortable. We did not like the atmosphere in the Alley and felt unsafe on several occasions so caught a Taxi to Farmers Market for a couple of hours returning in time to pick up the bus for the next part of the tour to a Citadel outlet. The bus driver said that the tour used to go to Fashion Island but too many people complained about the prices so they changed to the Fashion District. His gave us the impression that he was dubious about dropping people off here and was not surprised that we were all not happy about it.

If it is of any help; the Managing Director of Trafalgar Australia is named Paul McGrath and I assume he is contactable on the TT Sydney number ie. (02) 9657 3333
I hope everything works out well for you Sassy and Wen.
At the start of this year I went to a travel expo I asked and was told the big wigs in the uk did not think the cost savers in the usa were not going well enough!
