Still shopping for my pink tutu, but I was in the US this past week and found a shop that had a huge amount of red hat material. I was also at the corn and apple festival in southern Manitoba last weekend and one of the entries in the parade was "The Red Hat Society" all decked out in their purple shirts and red hats.

Tootsiebelle ..... I can hardly wait to see where you go with this one..... I am just loving everyone's comments and ideas. I have been reading both threads on the tutus and red hats ..... I get quite the giggle out of them. Wish I could meet you all...

Hope you survive Frances.... I will never complain about a little snow storm again.... The worst that happens to us during a snow storm is that we don't have to go to work or we get to go home early.... really hard done by Eh!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you heard the story of the Sweet Potato Queens? A group wanted to be in a parade and decided to name themselves after a food group. Leader is Jill Conner Browne who wrote two books about it all-the funniest I have ever read. Ever. They now have chapters everywhere.

The TT Tutus? To save what's left of John's peace of mind-the Hot Pink Tutus? We could throw TT brochures!

The storm is still coming, but changing by the hour so we're a bit nuts. I'm sure you'd never guess that by my posts, right???

We have had some pretty horrible snow/ice/wind stroms here in Manitoba ... and I think I would take them anyday if I had my druthers. A hurricane is toooo scary. The first time I went to the Gulf coast of Florida there was a threat of a hurricane. It wasn't cold but the wind sure was strong. Being that it was in late October (cold up here) we held our meeting outside and nearly lost all of our paperwork. But we persisted ... didn't want to miss the warmth ... we knew we were coming home to snow.
