Hi everybody! I was booked on this tour for 28 May until the 10 June and have just been informed by my travel agent today that all Cost Saver tours of America have been cancelled and I will have to do a First Class Tour now which has different dates! I am going to have to pay a fortune in fees to change flights etc and was wondering if anybody knew whether Travel Insurance covers this or not? Thanks!

Hi travellingalone,
Sorry to hear that all the Cost Saver tours have been cancelled.
My husband and I are going on the First Class tour which is called the Western Discoverer tour and we leave on May 31st.This tour is similar to the American West Adventurer but it is dearer.
I hope that you are able to get something sorted. You may end up on the same tour as us.
Kind Regards

Hello I was wondering if anyone was going on the Western Discoverer tour leaving May 31st 2008.

When we took out our insurance prior to last years tour there was a clause in it that if the tour was cancelled we would be able to claim for it and air travel so check your policy and if in any doubt contact the insurer direct if you wish rather than going through your TA. We had paid a portion of the policy at the time (cancellation clause) of booking and then the rest prior to departure.

Hi Barb,
I am interested to book the First Class tour, 14 days Western Discoverer and decided to go with my hubby this year.
However, there is no dates and prices indicated.
Please advise how can I access the dates and prices for this tour.
Thank you Roll Eyes

feifei ~ I would suggest clicking on the "Contact us" at the bottom of the page and asking Trafalgar for details. The Web department will follow up on Monday (British time), or you can contact your Travel Agent to check this out for you, if you use one.

feifei ~ My husband & I are interested in "The Western Discoverer" for September this year. It has been removed from the Australian web-site & I have been informed by Trafalgar that it is being updated(?) I have spoken to my TA & she has also contacted TT & reliably informs me the tour is still going ahead.

I would suggest you phone your TA & get them to contact TT for availability at the time you wish to travel.
