Hi,
I just read in todays news that they had a big snowstorm in Canada. Calgary/Winnipeg area. I just wanted my Canadian neighbors to know I'll be thinking about them as I launch my boat later today. BTW it's 77 here in NY today, going up to 85. Bob PS. did I mention I HATE SNOW !!!!!!!!!! |

Bob,
I love the snow but not on May 11th. We have had a huge storm here in Winnipeg and a lot of our major highways are closed. As I look out my window at work, expecting to see the leaves starting to unfold on the trees, I am faced with a white carpet. Robin Williams is in town making a movie and last weekend they had to blanket an area with white substance to make it look like snow. Should have waited a few days and they could have used the real stuff. It is raining at the moment but we are expecting some more snow later today. Oh well, this too shall pass. Our weather always gives us something to talk about. I am just a little envious about you launching your boat. Enjoy the sunshine, it will be sunny and warm here eventually. Cheers Diane |

And here we are in the middle of a heat wave in Southern Ontario. People around me have their air conditioners on but I prefer to open my windows. It was a long winter.
The snow will melt soon for you. |

Jeannie 118,
The sun is shining and the snow is melting. There is still some left -- looks more like March than it does the middle of May. I will be glad to see the end of it. Planned on wearing a summer dress and sandals to a wedding tomorrow -- snow boots and parkas seem to be in fashion at the moment. Cheers, Diane |
