While in Vancouver, I would suggest the following attractions to go to: Storyeum in Gastown ( does a live history of British Columbia), the aquarium, the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, Queen Elizabeth Park (the locals who were raised in Vancouver call it Little Mountain), try dim sum in Richmond (it is our new Chinatown). If you are into shopping, Robson Street is fascinating but some stores are quite expensive, there is Pacific Mall at Granville and Georgia, Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver (this mall is adjacent to Ambleside Park which is a lovely walk along the waterfront). If it a clear day, I would suggest taking the tram up Grouse Mountain, for a fabulous view of the city. There are several activities to do while up on the mountain, but bring a picnic lunch with you, the restaurant is pricy. Enjoy the city, it is beautiful when the sun is out. We are not the most friendly city in the world but we do try to make our visitors feel welcome.
