Has anyone taken the "Highlights of the Pacific Northwest" tour? Would appreciate any comments you might have on this tour. My friend mentioned to me recently that some day, when I run out of doing tours to Europe, we should do the Northwest. Thanks for your comments in advance.

Hi Marie.. I am new here and was scrolling the posts.. I noticed yours and thought I would reply. I have never taken a Trafalgar tour of the Pacific northwest but I have been there. My husband and I sailed in that area between Vancouver Island and BC last September. We took the ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo And then a bus on up the coast of Vancouver Island. Then to our sail boat. What an AWESOME trip. The mountains and trees are just breathtaking. My mother and I will be touring with Trafalgar this Sept/oct for the Fall Foliage Tour of New England. Am soooooo looking forward to that trip. I would really reccomend the northwest tour. I was raised on the pacific northwest coast. Oregon and Washington. I really don't think you will regret it. I notice in the book that they have a Best of Canada's West tour. For $275 more you see more of British Columbia. You will still basically go to the same places, still get a ferry ride and go to Victoria (which is a beautiful town) but you will see more of BC. Next year my husband and I want to do Canada and Alaska. Where ever you decide to go, it will be an awesome trip for you. Have fun.

moomati...
Thanks for the reply. The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful area according to the pictures I've seen.
Have you booked your trip to New England yet? Late September, around the 25th or so of September, thru the October 12th weekend will be the prettiest time for the trees. The trees start turning color in late September in Northern Maine and then works it way down. Fly into Boston and spend a couple of days there as Boston has alot of historical sites that you can enjoy before starting the tour. Parts of Maine, along the coast is pretty, with most of the tree colors being more inland thru New Hampshire and Vermont. The reason why I asked if you have booked your trip yet as this area is one of the most popular areas to tour especially when the leaves turn to their beautiful colors. Hope you enjoy your trip to New England.
