We are starting this tour in London on the 6th August. Is anyone else out there going?

This is a great tour - you will see lots and lots of wonderful sights. It's a long trip, but with the break in Greece (or cruise option) you will be fine. If you want to know anything, we did this in 2005 and NZ Nurse did it last year.

Thanks for replying. Although I am worried that we might be the only ones on this tour! Smiler Then again we won't have to fight for the front seat will we - no crowds - no queues for anything.. Could have it's positive side!

I am wondering if anyone can tell me if you can attach your own computer to get connected to the internet? Or if not do Net Cafes allow you to plug in a stick with info on it. For example pre writen emails to home.

Hi Paul & Charmaine,

As Flying Kiwi said we did this tour at this time last year and had a fantastic time. If you have any questions about the tour I would be glad to help if I can.

With regards to you computer question, i'm sorry I cannot help with this. I do know that 2 or 3 people on our tour had laptops with them but I think they were on the wireless network. 2 ladies that were with our group came from NZ and had a computer so it was good to catch up with our national news especially being able to know what areas had been affected by awful storms and flooding.

Don't worry about being the only ones on tour as very, very few people know about this travel board although the thought of a personally excorted trip with permanent front row seats does sound inviting Big Grin

Hi Jeanette & Flying Kiwi, thanks for getting back to me.

I am a bit worried that the tour will be very long - I feel 18 but my 46 year old body says something different. I am hoping for some nights that are early. Or I may find myself missing a lot of the scenery during the day! Smiler

I am also wondering if you can give me advice on all the extras - the list goes for miles and miles and bigger still lots of extra money. I also don't want us to miss out. We love taking photos and we want to have some free time, but this would be in place of extra excursions. How did you judge it along the way?

Thanks for your help so far.

Hi Paul & Charmaine,

Remember that the list of optionals that you get with your documents is a lot longer than the list the TD will offer you. He/she will choose some to offer you and it is up to you if you wish to do them. When we got our documents we looked into all of them and chose what we would like to see if they were offered so we could judge it for the budget. We skipped a few when we were on tour in favour of doing something we wanted to do. For example we skipped the optionals in Nice and went off on our own and had a lovely time relaxing on the beach and wandering around. It is up to you. I didn't find it too taxing with some of the later nights. We were usually back at the hotel about 10.30 on the nights we chose to go to an optional dinner.

The cruise part of the tour is right in the middle and very relaxing. I am 46 and hubby 53 and had no problems at all keeping up with the days schedule.
