I have to admit that i am getting a little nervous about travelling alone. I am still trying to work out if i have a "must do" list

I dont have to worry about the day after the tour as i fly out quite early in the morning.... it is really just the 2 days prior to the tour that i have to work out what i am doing.

It is definatley becoming easier now that i know where my hotel is in regards to everything in london.

So how long until you know about your friend and whether or not they are going to join us??

I still have to organize the night's accomodation after the tour. Not sure what area I should stay at this stage. If I stay around the Paddingtion area, it would make it easier for me to train it to Heathrow, but if I stayed around Earls Court, it would make it easier for me on the night we get back from the tour as I wouldn't have to catch the tube during peak hour.

My friend is still undecided about whether he is going or not and probably won't make up his mind until it's a month to go . If he does decide to go, it will change alot of my plan's as I will stay a extra few days in London either before or after the tour and stay over in Hong Kong for 4 - 6 days.

Have you given any thought about what optionals you might do? There are a few that I'm keen on doing.

I have started looking at the optionals too... there are defo a few that i would like to see!!

I would love to go and see the moulin rouge! Other that that i am not sure as yet about the rest of them. i have just looked into the weather and i am trying to sort out my clothes for the time that i am away.

I saw my mate over the weekend and he said that he isn't going with me, which is a bit unfortunate. So hopefully I'll meet some nice people to hang out with.

I'm sure you are a nice person and will look forward to meeting you. It just would have been nice to have a friend along who could take pictures for me instead of always asking your fellow travellers.

I'm not sure about the Moulin Rouge as I spoke to a work mate who saw it a couple of years ago. She said it was a bit over rated. She said it didn't start until 11pm and they were crammed like sardines. Although, it's sort of a must see, like if you visit Sydney, you go and check out the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

I got my passport the other day and the trip suddenly seems a lot more REAL!!

Hi Kristy,

Glad to hear that you got your passport. I hope it's a good photo, as it's going to be there for the next 10 years.
I haven't organized the accomodation for the last my last night yet. Will probably leave it to the last minute.
Have you worked out your daily budget yet? I'm still not sure how much money I should allocate for each day. The few threads I have read on this topic seem to be differ from person to person.
Also, hopefully there will be more people going on this tour so it doesn't get cancelled like other guaranteed tour dates I have read here.

It's getting closer and I'm looking forward to it. Only another 135 days until take off for me.

Passport pic is a shocker.... but i really dont care that much.... no one i know has a good passporrt pic!!
I havent worked out a daily budget, i will probably just take whatever i have saved at the time i leave and make do with it. I cant wait either!!! What day are you departing?? I leave EARLY on the 12th September. Cant wait!!!

Have you check out some of the hotels we will be staying at. There are a few that seem to be a ways out from the city.
Hopefully TT offer some type of shuttle service for us if we decide to stay later in a particular city.

I havent looked at the hotel yet. I am on dial up and it takes FOREVER to load everything!!! Will try and look at them while i am at work one day.
If they are out of the city, i hope that they help us with a way to get back to the hotels.

Hi Kristy,

I can't believe has fast it's gone. At this stage I only have to organize my finances and I'm looking at loading up a ANZ Travel card for my daily spend and putting all the optional's on my credit card.
This forum has been a wealth of information.
I'll probably start packing 2 weeks out, just putting in bit's at a time, so hopefully I don't forget anything.
How have you been? I hope everything is going well.

I have een doing really well.... i am also organising my finances and getting ready to load an ANZ card with all my money.... and i have paid of my credit card so that i can use it for my optionals.

I have already sstarted packing little bits and pieces. I have also started writing up a packing list.....

I love this forum.... i have found out so much help here and everyone has been great!!!I cant wait!!!
