ww,

I really am concerned that you are taking only one pair of shoes for 78 days. I don't think it is too good for your tooties to wear the same pair for so long, please think about attempting to squeeze in another pair. Confused

Smiler okey dokey, i just ditched a pair of pants, and i may have to start on the tops. Maybe i can take no pj's and sleep in the nuddie - that would give the others in my backpacker dorm a thrill!

Come to think of it you will be wearing a pair and packing a pair, right? Forgive me if I'm fuzzy as it's 3:15 AM here! Smiler

WW: We work strictly to the 3 principle. So we pack 3 of everything (pants, shirts, undies etc). The theory is: 1 on the body, 1 in the wash and 1 in the case. Never did we have a problem with getting clothes dry. We took 1 jacket for coller days/evenings. 1 of the outfits was smarter than the others and was used for more formal events. Throw everything else out... Big Grin

Eeker i have heard of this rule of 3, but it pains me to remove anything, just in case, however it must be done.

i feel sick inside just thinking of removing anything. i imagine being OS in dirty, stinky clothes, with soggy washing in my bag, water seaping through and dripping out the bottom.

and i worry, worry, stress about what to pack.

Just relax WW. You are travelling in summer months, unless you experience an unusually cold and wet summer you have nothing to worry about. All indications so far are that this summer is unseasonably warm already.

If you have problems discarding, ask your mother to choose for you. Mothers are such sensible people, I find. Big Grin

Feel free to admonish me severely upon your return home if you experience clothing difficulties whilst overseas.

The only problem you will experience, IMO, is that you will be SO tired of these 3 sets of clothes by the time you return home that you will not want to set eyes on these clothes ever again. That's OK, they will be worn out anyway so throw them out at your last stop over. That way you won't even have to wash them again. Smiler

i am looking at my bag and hyperventilating Big Grin

Mum has never been OS, and so thinks i am underpacked and is activly encoraging me to take more clothes. When she saw the pile of reject clothes, she demanded to know why each item had been left out.

My sister looked at my clothes, and tried to add a few things.

I am looking at my clothes and worrying.

BUT, i will ditch a pair of pants. I will remove a couple of tops, i will leave the poler fleace vest behind, i will only take 1 jumper, i will take less undies, i will sleep naked ......

WW,

I am now hyperventilating for you Frowner

How many one nighters will you have on your adventure? For example, if you have a maximum of 4 x 1 nighters in a row, then you will need to pack 5 prs undies etc. (You can not always wash & get it dry on a one nighter). Don't worry, the worse case scenario.....you buy a couple of extra T-Shirts (souvenirs) you buy a couple of extra pairs of socks, big deal!

Don't stress now, you have done really well. You are so close.....ENJOY!!
Smiler Big Grin Cool

I am not sure you will need the long-sleeved shirts unless you will be in the Scottish highlands. You are bringing some sort of rain jacket I presume? If so, I can't think you would need the long sleeved shirts even for England. I haven't brought a long-sleeved shirt on my last several trips. But I always have some type of lightweight jacket in case of cool weather.
