Question: What exactly does set custom Avatar mean? If this means that I can set an avatar that TT have "on file", I have done this since the day I joined the BB. I am confused

My interpretation

The avatars supplied by TTWeb 'on file' can be used as soon as you register.

A custom avatar is from your own computer file of pics.

A URL upload avatar is from a site such as 'plantsmilies'

But then again my interpretation could be wrong

I'm sure Dragon? will correct me if this is the case

I apologise if I have confused people but my previous post was specifically intended for TTWeb.

Hopefully this will clarify things for everybody:

1. Set Custom Avatar URL is obtained upon reaching Regular Member status with a Karma of 300 points. This function allows you to use an avatar from another website address (URL) by linking to it, and

2. Can upload Avatars to site is obtained upon reaching Power Member status with a Karma of 1,000 points or more and allows you to upload your own avatar direct from your own computer.

Both of these are different from the avatars that are generally available from TT.

As I now have over 300 Karma points can you set my Avatar to Custom so I change mine when I get the time.

Thanks for the clarification Dragons, its number set custom avatar that I would like as I have finally found one that is me and I am at the appropriate level.

LOL Dimpz .The avatar that I have at the moment is very close to the physical "me" and is so wonderfully gorgeous and very popular that I keep seeing myself wherever I go , it's quite disconcerting so I went looking for something uniquely 'me"

TTWeb: I raised a question below under the thread "please call" initiated by me, regarding the misleading and confusing use of this phrase on the dates and rates page. As I said in that post, there is nothing to indicate what this means and to whom this is directed. Could you please look into it, and perhaps TT could come up with a phrase that's m ore indicative of its meaning and causes less consternation to those waiting to know if their tour is a "go" or not.

Good on you Brenda. It is obvious that this is an area of great anxiety for TT customers and potential customers. It is reflected in the fact that it is currently being discussed on two other threads. Under Trafalgar Tours "Please Call' and 'Guaranteed Departures". Recently it was dicussed extensively under Travel Advice "What the....". So let me repeat "What the...." We obviously like TT why encourage us to look elsewhere due to frustration.Any response will do me as long as someone shows interest in our fears.
