I am really enjoying your tale & reliving some wonderful memories. That little dog at the mozzarella farm was just so cute & I found I just loved buffalo maozzarella, although I find it a bit hard to find at home. BTW I have the recipe for the lemon cake if any past visitors are interested.

Thanks Carol - keep it coming. Smiler

Wonderful to read the next few days of your tour. The afternoon at the farm sounded wonderful, and I love Italian Food too. Getting up to Annacapri is a laugh isn't it?

I still don't know how I got my daughter to do it. But she had to admit the views were worth the ride up. Cool

Are you talking about the Funiculare to Anacapri or the chair lift up to the top of the mountain? That one took my breath away--in fact I hardly dared breathe at all on the way up Big Grin. But, the views from the top were spectacular and coming down, I felt like an old hand at it. Smiler

Brenda,
It was the chairlift, she doesn't like heights. That's why she travels with me, she doesn't really like flying either. But I think she is getting over it and may soon try flying on her own (in a plane of course) Big Grin

Done!

And for the record, we loved the chairlift to the top of Anacapri... the views were beautiful and it was so quiet!

Carol ~ I was referring to the Mama Mia road to Anacapri. Now that really rocked my socks! Eeker

We had a fellow on the mini bus with us who had once had to be airlifted out of the sea after a yachting accident. He told us that was less frightening than the road to the top. Eeker Frowner

Hi carolT ~ thank you so much, as Dede has already said, your tale gives us an idea of what awaits us on our upcoming tour - I can't wait!(only 37 more sleeps!! OR 25 more "works" Wink Smiler). I also can't wait to taste authentic gelato, everyone has made it seem so yummy!

Cheers

CarolT,
Did it go as fast for you as it did for us? Can you believe you were really ther? Do you want to go back again? If you answered yes to all these questions then you have been bitten by the Italy Bug. Big Grin And you know you have to go back again.

I am already planning on returning again with a group of my friends that I have talked into wanting to go to Rome. I may have to put off retiring until I pay for all the trips that I have planned. Big Grin

Dimpz... ah yes, the Mama Mia Road!! I think the chairlift was a piece of cake compared to that road!!!

Dot... I've definitely been bitten by the Italy bug! I'm sure I'm not the only one who starts planning the next tour before getting home from the last one!

Dede and Jewel... you will have so much fun! I'm jealous that your tours are still ahead of you, and mine is behind me!! But, then again, I still haven't gotten through all 833 pictures I took (thank goodness for digital photography!).

We are taking the best of Italy tour in December. I don't really know what optionals I would like to take. Are there ones that you would absolutely do again or ones that were OK but would not do again. Did you hear about any of the other optionals that other people on the tour took?
