The TD'S on both my trips gave us theri cell phone number. How awful for you and your wife- I would be writing a huge complaint. I tis really easy to lose one's sense of direction in a strange place - especially when you are too busy sight-seeing to find out where you are. i wonder too how long the missing couple wandered around Canterbury befor realising they had been left to find their own way back.

Big Grin I charge commission Big Grin I have put three other people onto this site so far Big Grin

http://www.frogprints.co.nz/

I used the 50 page deluxe album and am pleased with the flexibility of the software and being able to download the software and work at my own pace. They keep upgrading all the time. Found that they weren't very good at answering emails but excellent on customer service over the phone.

Next trip: Egypt/Jordan/Israel or Italy+ ??? ~ decisions, decisions......

On all the tours I have taken the TD has always given us their cell phone number. For someone with absolutely no sense of direction this is a great peace of mind. Smiler

Maybe this more than anything else justifies taking a cell phone on tour & perhaps we should pass this advice out to newbies.

Exactly - its peace of mind - which is why I carry it around at home and had one occasion recently when I had to phone my hubby to come and 'rescue' me. I would have been really embarrassed/upset if I had to ask someone else to contact him for me.

Cottontail ! Egypt AND Italy.

Seeing you have to travel the same as us Kiwis, we always make it two tours while we are up in the morthern hemisphere.
It's only a flight across the Med from one to the other !
We did Egypt to Madrid last month.

Don't leave town , till you've seen the country.

Our TD Charlie gave us his cell number in case we needed him while we were out and about or got seperated from the larger group. Thank goodness we didn't need to ring him but it was good to have it just in case.

Only if you're paying Big Grin

Our Egypt tour will encompass Egypt/Jordan/Israel = approx 35 days

Our Italy tour will encompass all of Italy and maybe something else = approx 40 days

So we can't do both Frowner and its takes us a good three years to save up enough $'s to do each trip.

Donations to the 'Cottontail Travel Fund' welcome Big Grin

btw, what's the connection between 'Cottontail' and Henry VIII, if it's not a rude question. (Or one which might elicit a rude answer!)

Big Grin

Apart from the fact I find that part of history interesting due to its intrigue, the other reason was that it appeared to be an avatar that no one was currently using. I am waiting for the opportunity to upload one when/if I'm given permission to Big Grin
