Stay well, you two, and keep telling us tales, Rex. I love them and thanks.

Brenda

Ahh, Brenda, I can always rely on you to give excellent explanations on such a vast array of topics. I'm reading Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart now. (50th Anniversary Edition). Brilliant man. Smiler

I was about to edit my reply Dalene. Of course it's "Things Fall Apart" Achebe's perfect response to Conrad and it's sitting right in bloody front of me under the As in my bookshelves. I tell you, getting older and having memory glitches are not for the faint-hearted Big Grin. Thanks for reminding me, Dalene. I know you probably also know this but the term was also associated with women--dark, mysterious, tangled moist jungles (think hard) and there are several feminist essays from the early years (70s and 80s) tackling this issue and how it affects women's lives. Great fun. Big Grin

Brenda: Do you sort your library alphabetically by author?

Yes, I do, Caitie. Even criticism and theory is alphabetized otherwise I'd never find anything. Although it's a lot easier now, I must tell you. I gave away several bookcases of books to our grad students and others when I retired.

Brenda

p.s. it's hard however to find a logical place for the different versions of the scriptures and scriptural writings I have -- under G, do you think? Wink

Brenda: Not if you're aiming for consistency. I think those were written by M. Smiler

Big Grin Rex, there is nothing dark about you, only that you're from 'darkest' Africa (as the saying goes) but then according to evolution so is the rest of us Wink

Poor Harry! and poor Beautiful Backside Big Grin. At least he will never forget you!
We had a couple on our tour who farm alpacas. We learnt a lot about breeding 'procedures' one night, some things I didn't really need to know. Our TD's eyes were just about popping out of his head Big Grin. Ah the people you meet!
