Dimpz, I keep my TT catalogues out and look at them frequently to help me decide where to go next Smiler I can't bear to put them away.

Niece 57, I met some nice folks from Adelaide on our tour. They were stopping off in Singapore on the way home to rest.

Hethr, as Chris said, our TD selected some of the optionals that were listed in our travel documents. I did them all because I like to go and don't know what to do alone. My husband likes to rest and he didn't do the shows. People are different. I enjoyed everything! The TD was with us for all the optionals so they don't overlap. As Chris says, the folks who didn't do them had time to rest or do other things.

I regret that we could not get to Eagle's Nest because of a rock slide. The road was closed. We also could not get all the way to Klein Matterhorn because the chairlift (or whatever they call it) was closed for safety reasons. I have wondered what will happen to the group who left after our group. We were told the Simplon Pass was closed due to snow and the Danube flooded the road we traveled.

Traveler229, Jake, and Marilyn, the trip is well worth it! It was one of the most scenic we've taken! Jake, I'm sure you would get some beautiful photos. You are so talented!

Hi Sandra, thanks for taking the time to post your report.

I loved the read as it covers some of my favourite areas and, even though I have been several times, I still hope to go back again.

You brought back some wonderful memories for me. Thank You.

Hello Dragons, thanks for the kind words. The scenery was the most spectacular we've ever seen. We are looking at Scandanavia for our next trip. Have you been there? Is it similar?

Sandra, we have been to Scandinavia a couple of times and the scenery in Norway in particular is fantastic. Particularly at places like Geiranger.

For spectacular mountain type secenery I personally would rate Switzerland, the Rockies and parts of Norway as up there with the best.

Hi I read your tour report before going on the Grand Alpine. I have just re-read it and it brought back lots of pleasant memories. We did many of the same things and stayed at the same places.

We also had ULI HAGEN as a tour director and he was phenomenal. So knowledgeable and all the facts and figures at his fingertips.

I will post a tour tale soon. I did 3 back to back and have posted the Woderful France one. It took a long time to write so I appreciated all the detail and time you put into yours. Hope you read this. I know you did your tour 2 years ago but you may still be on the message board from time to time. thanks again

Hi Sandry!, thanks for the nice comments. The Grand Alpine was one of our favorite tours and Uli was just a wonderful TD. The scenery was breathtaking as you know! We had Udo as our driver and I can still hear Uli saying "let's boogy Udo". It sounded so funny with his accent! Can't wait to read your account of this tour!

We had Willy as our driver and Uli said the same "Let's boogie, Willy" or William the Conqueror do your stuff" Very funny and such a fond memory.
