Everyone was advised of the approaching low bridge. But no one realised how low it was !( As you can see !)
The crew were there to make sure everyone was safe, and to erect the sunshades after we had gone under.
This was around Aswan.

Hi Jewel ! It was all safe. Everyone was aware of the bridge. Just didn't think it would be that close !
I have another clip of video. But it will have to wait until tomorrow.
We had an extra couple of days before the tour started. So we hung around the hotel,( El Meridiene Pyramid) acclimatising ourselves. The first night, there was free entertainment around the pool. A classy belly dancer. I'll put it up tomorrow. It's the maximum 5 minutes.
In the meantime, what are the opinions of you all out there about the music of each country you visit?
I walked into the centre of Arles, border Spain, and as we passed the colluseum, and into the centre, so this beautiful music could be heard. We turned the corner into the square where this man ( Gonzalo Vera, concert musician) stood ,playing an oboe. It was an unbelievable sound. Besides videoing , I bought his CD( Google his name to see ). Now , every time I play it, the memory floods back. No need for pictures !
The same in Egypt.
The first music I heard( and it took ages to find a name!) was `Ellisa`. I recommend anyone going to Egypt to buy a copy. It's title is `Ellisa`, and as before , playing it, the memories flood back.
Most music comes from recorded MP3, so CD's are as `cheap as chips`. They may be pirate editions, but play excellent, and only US$2, or NZ$4.
Really does capture the Egyptian sound.

Still can't work the link right.
But , this is five minutes of clips from a twenty minute show that was given in the grounds of our hotel on our first night , before our tour started on the next day.
I was only allowed to video outside the restaurant area.

Hi nation ~ This TT in August will be our first Smiler and we actually tossed up whether to go to Europe or Egypt (europe won, but I am sure Egypt will be next Wink)The only perspective I have re your music question is from previous travels nearer home. Strangely enough though, yesterday I was remembering a previous holiday to Fiji and the first thing that came to mind was the beautiful music of that country, I do agree that music is a powerful way to bring back those wonderful memories! Smiler

Cheers

There you are Mahalkita ! But if you go to www.youtube.com and search `tokoroatoni`,you'll find `classy dancer` there.
This was part of one evening's free show at the Meridien pyramid hotel, Giza, at their poolside.
