Hi everyone,
Have you ever gone 'round the twist' while you were on holidays, or before, or after or all around your holidays? This crazy thought just occured to me because the other day I was doing a crazy dance (you know... like the 'where the hell is matt' dance) at work and people just thought I was insane - there are 3 months until my trip!!!

On my last trip, as soon as I stepped off the plane I started laughing uncontrollably at very strange intervals and didn't stop until I arrived home, 5 weeks later! I couldn't figure out if it was:
a) the cold air
b) eating too many gelati with alcohol in them
c) having lots of fun
d) a real x-file!

There were also some weird moments like not staring at the trees thinking that pollution was pretty bad if they had no leaves (it was winter, because at home the leaves don't fall off lol), having a picture taken next to a pig statue, playing soccer in -10 degree weather, investigating for phantom ghosts in a 400 year old theatre, and one that tops the cake I think was walking out of the apartment half-asleep and not realising which country I was in (lol)!

So now I've got the ball rolling, I want to hear all the times when you have gone crazy on your holidays - whether it be driving on the wrong side of the road, some bizaare de-ja-vu or just Murphy's law!!

Take it away folks!

Well, travel_bella, I too feel like such a bore. Only once when the coach stopped for a refreshment and washroom, did I jog around the complex because I was so stiff from sitting still. People did give me funny looks and no-one mentioned it after that so I gather I must have been a bit of a sight this old dame running around in circles or should I say, laps. Big Grin Doesn't come even close to your breakouts. Sure you didn't pick something up on the tour? Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Gee carrying on like that could entice your workmates to have a wip around and get you a room for you at Wolston Park

Goodness I hope you weren't serious! I most certainly am not mentally ill, I was just having a bit of fun!! Big Grin FYI, I'm only 22, and am managing to hold down 2 degrees, and 3 jobs at the same time so I hope this board gives me a chance to 'let my hair down' so to speak. Travel and talking about travel is one way I can be free from life's everyday pressures. Cheers.

I have been straining my brain to think of somethimg "strange" That I have done re holidays, but about the only thing is the way I bore everyone telling them how many sleeps are left, I began this one at 200+ and now am down to 10 (see, bor-ing!! Oh yeah - This brings back memories. While totally lost in Edinburgh (one way streets) we found the main street. Thought we should follow it. All of a sudden we realise there are no cars around us. Just buses. People were looking at us. Bus drivers were frowning at us. We drove for about 1 kilometre in a bus only section of the street. We were laughing so hard, and hiding our faces from embarresment. It certainly took the stree out of being lost. Sure hope there is no fine to come. We actually did not see the sign as a double decker bus was next to us blocking the sign. That is our excuse and we are sticking to it.

jewel ~ You have just reminded me how I used to bore colleagues (before retirement) I used to put a screen saver on the computer of scenes of places we would be seeing while on our trip. Used to drive them all crazy! Cool

I have a little digital camera photo frame on my desk that rotates photos from my trip. Imagine how much my work mates are sick of me. Mind you many people at my work travel so I have to look at all their photos too.
