Has anyone else noticed any other significant changes with them from last year besides the overall price? I know the tour I will be taking in Sept is over 300 US dollars more next year.

I believe they stopped handing out the bags early in the year, actually, because I remember we discussed this on the BB back then. Some people were getting them and some weren't.

It appeared to me that the price of optionals was higher this year likely due to the rising cost of food and fuel.

In July, some optionals were canceled for lack of bookings. The ones that were able to be done independently with some planning, were done with the resulting free time. The folksy and meal oriented ones were the most commonly passed over. (Costs were very high.) Of course the countries being visited and what's being offered determines the final results...e.g. visiting the Vatican vs Mozarella party on Ricco's farm.
