Corrrect me if I'm wrong, but I think the company that owns TT bought Uniworld in 2004 and the Trafalgar and Uniworld cruises are the same. Uniworld has been around awhile.

If they do not want to configure a ship with single cabins, they must not want single people to take their cruises, and they must not be aware of how many single folks out there have discretionary money that they will spend elsewhere. I go where I want, without being limited to the schedule and the wishes of a prospective fellow traveler, so I will "cheerfully" pay the single supplement and go on the traditional tours.
I hope Trafalgar will send out an announcement when they decide they want this market, so I will take a closer look at the cruises. But until I hear to the contrary, I will continue to assume that solo travelers are not wanted.

Dimpz, remember the Rhine thread that John referred to? It started in February last year and went 45 pages before it was closed. His reference started me remembering all the BB volunteers and their duties and outfits. The pink tutus, cow outfits, maid's costumes. The Schnapps and chocolates etc. Big Grin

Still we better not start that up again. Wink

We plan on the Dutch Dreams River Boat Cruise on March 31, 2006. Anybody have an idea about temperatures this time of year? Also, are skirts and ties expected for dinner?

I have a friend who is planning on taking this cruise in 2007. Can you tell me how you liked the trip. She will need the single supplement which dramaticaly increases the cost, so any information you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks

I went on the Nile river cruise and paid the single supp. It was the best trip I had ever taken. I had never been on a cruise boat before and now it is the only way I want to travel.

My husband and I did a 29 day River Cruise with TT. The Grand European Explorer from Bucharest, Romania to Basel, Switzerland. We were so spoilt and had the BEST time. Food was great, cabin was great, staff & crew on boat were superb. We have already booked the Grand France (2 river cruises) for March 2008. Guys, this is the only way to travel

Lynette & John ~ Your tour sounds fantastic, my husband and I are seriously considering this tour. Would you consider posting a Tour Tale as there is not much written about River Cruises.

I am interested to know what happens during the day. Are the tours you do from the boat included tours or are they Optionals, and were many Optionals offered.

What time of the year did you cruise and where on the boat was your cabin.
