Looking at the river cruise but was wondering if anyone had visited this part of France and what their opinion was.

MLT: There is no bad part of France. It's all good! Smiler Provence is outstanding - warm and colorful. Burgundy is a lovely wine-growing region. I wouldn't hesitate to go. Smiler

Dumb question: If one mentions Provence and Aix En Provence, are they talking about the same place in France?

Cat's: No. Provence is a region. Aix-en-Provence is a town in the region, also known as Aix.

I am planning to do that trip one day, maybe with DH if I can convince him. His French is much better than mine.

Enjoy your trip.

Cat's: I've had my eye on that tour for some time! If you haven't been there before, Aix is a darling little town. I love to shop and have lunch on the Cours Mirabeau. If you get a chance, buy some Muscat grapes at the marketplace. They're delicious. Think of me when you get to Limoges. I used to live not far from there.
We are leaving on Insight's Mediterranean Fables on Monday so I won't have another chance to wish you Bon Voyage! Smiler
