As the old saying goes "you can't take it (money) with you" so you may as well enjoy it while you are alive.
As others have said, there are so many forces that effect prices of imported goods here - you either buy them or you don't - there is no middle road. I have looked at Duty Free and so-called 'grey imports' etc and there is either a/no real saving, b/no enforcable warranty or c/serious concerns over what you may indeed get for your money.

Colleen Anne2 ~ what camera did you buy??? Photography ... my latest (and expensive) interest. Smiler

Gen X.. Pragmatic practitioners
Gen Y... Experiential Peers

My daughter has a very close friend (Gen X) who manages a large recruitment agency, she (the friend) cannot believe the difference in attitude & thinking between her generation & Gen Y. Frankly the difference astounds me when you consider some Gen X & Gen Y are siblings & therefore were bought up in exactly the same way.

Puff ~ I bought a Nokia 6085, which I do like very much. The only reason I purchased it was that my old phone was dual band & I needed quad band to work for our upcoming trip to the U.S. Cool

After much consultation with Uncle Google it appears the quiet(er) SMS is a universal complaint from customers. Apparently it can be overcome by recording your own very high pitched tone. Eeker

Technology is amazing. Somehow, on my partner's new phone, our daughter put a recording into it.

When the phone rings, it says, in our grandson's beautiful little voice: "Pa, Pa, your phone's ringing. Pa, Pa, your phone's ringing".

It never ceases to make anyone who hears it smile.

LOL you sound like me! Technically bewildered Roll Eyes

My daughter has taken photos, with my new phone, & attached them to the stored numbers of their owners. So when for example she rings me her photo appears on the screen. Just that boggled me. Cool

I think that is just lovely to have your grandson's voice on the phone. I wonder if my grand-dogs could be trained to bark into the phone? Wink

If I received my travel documents from Trafalgar and I'm 2 weeks out until my trip,do you think it means tha tour is just full?

Bella, they rarely issue them earlier than two weeks, to insure that people don't lose them, because the documents cannot be replaced.
I believe they think people can generally concentrate for two weeks on NOT losing them !!
Have a great time !! Wink

Doesn't necessarily mean it is full but means it is viable & that is all that matters. Your tour is good to go! Enjoy! Cool

WEll the tour we were suppose to take was not full so they changed our date of departure...To make things right they gave us 2 free days in Rome and covered the cost of changing our flights...Trafalger was real good..

Sally

Were going to Italy on the Italian Discovery tour in Oct. We've been to Europe before and have been with Trafalgar before..My questions on this tour, what are the excursion tours and how did you like St. John Hotel?

You are very lucky, Sally, two extra days in Rome and at no cost! (I paid for two nights over 480 E) Not familiar with your hotel but seems it's in a good location.
