I am going on 2 tours ( combined), First , Best of France, then Best of Spain in September.

I am by myself, single supplement.
This is my second Trafalgar trip after excellent
Best of Italy 2 years ago.

Any experience, feedback about Best of Spain and Best of France tour will be appreciated.
How did you like it, what about optionals, etc.

Welcome to the Board, AnnTennis1.

I can't comment on the Best of Spain but I went solo on the Best of France tour last year and posted a tour report in the Tour Tales section of the BB. There is also a brand new report by Kitchen Wench in that section as well.

Hello and welcome AnnTennis 1,
I have just returned from the Best of France, it was my first Trafalgar Tour and I travelled alone, paying the single supplement.
I had a great time, enjoyed seeing all we did. It's a fast paced tour, especially near the end but don't let that daunt you. I've just completed a tour tale so can answer any questions you might have after reading it.

Making every second count.

I enjoyed reading both of your tour tales, Jeannie118 and Kitchen Wench, for Best of France. It seems as a wonderful tour and a lot of very good food ( Kitchen Wench description of dinners are making me hungry for French food already). Thank you for a fast reply

We did the “Highlights of France” in May 2006. You can find a report under Tour Tales. “Highlights of France” is very similar to the “Best of France” (it is the Costsaver version of the Best of France).

I am very interested in the “Best of Spain”, unfortunately there is very little info on it on the BB. Could you please do a report on it?

I am definitely going to do report and tour tales journal. I am so glad that I found that bb and people with similar interests.

I traveled to Grand Tour of Italy, only one tour with Trafalgar back in 2005 in April, and it was beyond my expectations.

Lovely places julika that you went to. We love France, it is so peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of Paris.

A ~ look under Tour Tales. Kitchen wench posted a recent tale on Best of France and Dragons on Spain. I got a lot of information by reading the tour tales. D. Smiler

Ann,

I would say that you made a very smart decision to take 2 separate tours, each dedicated to an individual country.

I've taken "Best of Spain," Best of France," and "Best of France and Spain;" I think all three were with Trafalgar. All three tours were good, but, obviously, the individual tours of each country were far more rewarding than the combined "Spain & France.

I understand that is not an option for all, but, apparently, you had the option: You'll be well rewarded, in my opinion.

It's been a while, and I don't recall what was included and what was optional. Frankly, at least in my case, after a while they all seem to blend together. Confused

I should think there will be those that have taken the tours more recently, and will be able to give you more detailed and timely, information. I note that some have, already.

Good luck, and enjoy.

Regards,
Bob
