Hi Cheryl,

I'm in Ballarat, which is about a hour and three quaters away from you, and I didn't get a bag.
Bags aside I hope you have a great time, I'm leaving tomorrow, for Europe.
Once you start travelling you can't stop, this will be my 15th bus tour.

I haven't been to the Trafalgar site in quite awhile - makes me very jealous as we're not travelling this year! (Selfish I know).

NO BAGS anymore???? We love our bags - they are absolutely a perfect size for carry on.

I'm so sad.

Cheryl unusual that some get bags, and others don't.

I didn't get a bag either. I managed to remove the "G....."-bagde from a bag from previous tour successfully and I will use that one. Smiler

I will guess that the reason why some get a TT bag, and some don't is as follows: Some travel agents have some "leftover" TT bags to give out and some have none to give out.

As much as I liked the travel bag for the bus I did get frustrated them all being alike so no problem now. Hubby says he has his own "old bag" anyway! Cost cutting maybe? I have heard a lot don't want them anyway. I have a great one from a previous tour that holds bottles standing up right which is great for us who enjoy a tipple or two and like to keep the bottles safe in transit.

We did not get TT bags this time but used our old ones anyway. I like the way you can keep papers and that size booklets in the back compartment, small stuff in the front, and jackets & whatever in the middle. Also especially like that it has place to carry water bottle. However we were the only ones on the tour who used them and you should have seen the size of some of those carry-ons. Eeker They certainly did not meet regulation size, but as far as I know nothing was said.

...but remember, the reason they're no longer supplying the bags is that most people threw them out and they want to be environmentally friendly...

If you believe that one, I can sell you a Bridge in Brooklyn.

Matha,

Hey,watch out, that bridge is already under contract with me. Wink

We gotta be careful when we use "Americanisims;" you never know when other variants of the English language consider them taboo. I guess Mr. Shaw was right.

I'm leaving next week for Ireland/Scotland. First trip with this group, so I have no previous travel bag. Curious what the regulation size is. Thanks

We refer to selling fridges to eskimos (now called Inuit peoples) but we know what you mean. Is it GB Shaw to whom you're referring and what did he say?
Matha, is tonight the night you fly out of New York--have a great one, buddy, and take notes. Smiler
