I just want to introduce myself. My name is John and I live in Washington State, USA. I must admit upfront that I have not taken a TT tour. I will soon be on my 10th tour with Insight, so I guess I am at least keeping it in the family. The reason I registered on this BB is that it is more active here than the Insight BB. I am not sure why, but more information passes between members here. I look forward to enjoying the BB and adding my "2 cents worth" occaisionally.
BTW, to Caitie, I noticed on another thread that you said you currently live in the Northwest. I am in Olympia, WA. Are you this area?

Welcome John from a fellow Insight BB member. I enjoy this board more because of more discussions and interactions. I have been on 1 TT winter tour nearly 3 years ago and 4 Insight tours, Since I am tall I prefer Insight but TT has more choice in tours.

We had `One World` group,an `Insight` group, and us , the `Trafalgar` group, all in separate coaches for each tour. But all on the same `MS Giselle` ship for the cruise down the Nile. So I guess the three company's tours were identical.
I suppose , if you've had a good tour , why change your prefered company ?

Don't leave town , till you've seen the country.

Welcome John.

I think most of us have done Insight as well as TT (and other) tours.

Looking forward to hearing about your travels.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I have read some of the threads comparing various tour companies and agree that probably most important in the decision process is the itenerary. I too have used various companies, sometimes based on just one or two different locations.

Happy Trails!!

Welcome, John.
Which Insight tours have you been on - or rather, do you have a geographical area of expertise? It'd be wonderful if you were another Austria-lover. There are too few of us on this BB!

Again, thank you for the warm welcome.
Mallee, I do love the area that encompasses Austria, Hungary, Switzerland. Vienna is one of my favorite cities...Switzerland a favorite country. I've been to most of the western european countries. And some eastern..Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey. As for landscape, I think Slovenia is tops. It is green and clean, and has the second largest set of caves in the world. But, my favorite of all is the middle east..including Israel, Jordan, Egypt, closely followed by Greece and the Islands. I have met many great ppl from "downunder" and as soon as feasible I want to travel to Australia and New Zealand. Oh, my favorite city? Prague

Happy Trails!!
