We just got our travel packet today for our European Experience tour leaving in two weeks. We had looked at the possible optionals on the website previous to that, but noticed that they list of optionals for this trip that was included in our packet were very few. I guess the questions here is does TT pretty much stick to the optionals they include in the packet or do they vary slightly once you actually get on tour? We just want to know if we need to do a bit more planning in a couple f the cities where the optionals don't particularly interest us. Thanks!
The tour guide sticks for the most part to the optionals in your doc package. Some of these may not go ahead if not enough folks sign up and this can be a problem when there is a low number on your tour bus. If you see that there is an optional that you don't want then you can spend the time at your pleasure either shopping, catching up on laundry, resting or planning a side tour of your own. It might not be a bad idea to look into info in reference to places you might explore on your own before you leave just in case the opportunity arises. Purvis

As Purvis explained, the TG will select the optionals once the tour starts. They may vary somewhat to the ones in the packet and some may not be offered. Of couse you can decide if you want to take them or do your own thing.

The Tour director usually decides which optionals are going to be available at each stop...not all of the one's listed will be available when you get there. They will also offer a discount if you buy the entire package of available optionals...it makes for a busy trip but you will see more

I bought all the optionals on the Bohemeian Highlights and heard nothing about a discount. I paid full price.

We have been on 7 TT's so far and never have been offered a discount if we purchased all optionals. Is this something new? Have others been offered this discount?

The only discount I've ever been offered, and it's been quite a while back ((as I recall 5 or 10 percent) wwas if we paid in US cash or Travellers checks or Euro. Again, that was a while back.

I think we got one on the Blue Monarch- TT cruise last year. I checked with the child bride and she thinks we did as well. I remember it being something like, take three options and get a discount on the fourth.
