Try asking specifically for your avatar to be activated.

I did not ask TTWeb to organise it. I just went to an avatar site and downloaded one for use. I was the taxi off the rank and did not upload it for some time but I do think it is about 300

NZ Confused

But when you go into your profile area to change your avatar you need to be able to put the link in and I can't as the section is not available to me - unless there is another way that I don't know about Confused

All I did was go into view/edit my profile and type in the address for an avatar I selected from the net and hey presto....I am not that computer savvy so don't really know how it worked but I didn't ask TTWeb for permission to do it.

I like the way you think Rex!
The posts the other day on another thread about travel to South Africa made me get out my husband's photos from his trip there (without ME Mad). I had forgotten how stunningly beautiful your country looks. I was tempted to post a few but thought I'd better not since TT don't appear to tour there anymore! Roll Eyes
I would love to go there one day.

I can not get the edit box for uploading - only the board avatars - and it is not ticked on my permissions list when you go to eve permissions etc

I give up Confused

Have you seen Dimpz's step by step guide to a custom avatar? It is posted in Trafalgar Web Department. When I read the post I remember finding a nice one but it was too big so chose a smaller one.

NZN as I have said - as far as I can see I can't upload because I haven't been given permission - there is not tick in the appropriate place when you go to the permissions list and there is no 'custom' box when you go to the edit phase in the avatar section Roll Eyes

I have done a custom avatar before on the Insight board so assume it is similar to this board.

I give up Confused

Thanks for trying to help

In Ladysmith KZN Rex. But not for long. Decided yesterday to sell our business after 20 years due the labour problems. (Not easy decision) Put my house up for sale same day. Get first offer at noon today. With all the chicks out of the nest it's time for new beginnings. No empty nest syndrome for us! Maybe another TT-tour for hubby and I??? Big Grin

Hi Rex,

I am married and have been for more years than I care to remember, have two wonderful children, one precious granddaughter who is 17 months old, live in Adelaide which is a fantastic and very beautiful place to live.

I am a retired accountant and fill my time with volunteer work for our church and Vinnies and co-ordinate and run a craft group for 50 -70 ladies and one gentleman each week, I also belong to two quilting groups and my hobbies are quilting and scrapbooking and some gardening if my arthritic knees allow. Smiler and of course this blessed BB and travel in my spare time. Big Grin

Hi Denise. Wink
