Brenda, thank you so much for your concern - I am not sure what the situation in other States is at the moment, but thankfully Australian fire fighters are second to none, and although properties are sometimes burnt out, and occasionally a life is lost (usually that of one of our brave fire fighters, unfortunately), by and large very few residents are killed. Our emergency services are well co-ordinated, and broadcast essential warnings to all and sundry, with advice about what to do. Thankfully, so far, loss of life has been small in comparison to the potential.

Last night we were woken by a very strong smell of smoke. Made sleeping difficult as we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Turns out it was a bush fire in Waikerie/Morgan
area, many many miles from us. Adelaide city was even getting the smokey haze. It is so dry everywhere up here and always windy, we are all just waiting for it to go.

Find what brings you joy and go there.

You are right Steve, we usually get your weather the next day and at 29 at midday, it is unlikely it will get to 36 today. However, it is overcast and if the clouds blow away, we might yet get there.
