Hi to all my fellow kiwis.

I hope you will all fare well in the predicted tropical storm this weekend that has already created havoc in the far north. Good luck to those that live north of me and to those in the south I hope you will thaw out soon. It sure has been mighty cold in some parts.

Wondering if we can arrange a weather trade? A bit of our 100-118 for a bit of your cold? It sure would be nice to even it out some Wink

My thought to those in the tropical storm

A weather trade sounds great. It was only 9 degrees (celcius) here yesterday so some warmth sounds great. It is going to be very rough here this weekend. We do not often get storms like the one that has just arrived up north so here's hoping everyone will fare ok. I am just off to get a few supplies (normal grocery shopping) before the gale force winds arrive here.

We've missed most of the bad weather, snow, torrential rain etc that some of the other areas have had. But it has been cold, although no more than usual. Good luck to those up north.

It's 4pm and airily quiet here, for now. Dry and not a breath of wind Flying Kiwi. Some flooding around the CBD in Whangarei and power out in west Auckland. We are prepared for the gale force winds predicted here tonight though. It is nothing new really for Wellingtonians as we go get high winds around these parts from time to time. Hopefully the storm will blow itself out in the next day or so.

We've just experienced the silence of the eye of the storm. Now the wind is picking up again !
Hopefully , their predictions are correct, and it will head out to sea past the Bay of plenty .
So far , in our area Waikato,No sirens signaling the fire brigade call out.
( Just as I was going to settle down to watch the All Black V Aussies !!) Mad
