Thanks Dimpz - that's interesting, but I don't believe it's accurate; I saw a new items recently which said that there were about a dozen British WWI veterans still alive (the article says only 3) - the government is planning to give a state funeral and a memorial in Westminster Abbey to the last one, as a symbolic memorial for all WWI veterans.
