Laundry Facilities at hotels... I think only on had an actual laundry facility, but it was one of the last few hotels we stayed at... I think there were a couple places that there were laundrymats near by. I'm not sure which ones though (sorry). I washed a few shirts and underwear in the sink as we went so washing clothes was never an issue.

We had the Dottodot service to and from the Ibis Earls Court Hotel. Check your documents when you get them to be sure you have the pick up and drop off.

not that I remember... two hotels, Barcelona and Rome (I think), had large pools to swim in. but I'm not sure any of them had gyms.

I guess it depends on if your tour will have the same hotels as ours (i've heard hotels may vary from tour to tour).

Remember, the hotels are primarily for just sleeping and storing your bags... you're there to experience the cities...

Hi Cisobe, my husband and I are heading over at xmas for the boxing day tour and find your information invaluable.

Do the group dinners offer a selection of food local to the region or country?

The food on our tour was decent. Nothing to really write home about. From what I remember we had roasted chicken, beef burgandy, paella, rissotto, pizza, fondue, schnitzel, and oddly chinese/asian food in amsterdam... Oh I forgot to mention, escargot and frog legs...

This is going to be a tough one to estimate... On the way though the Loire Valley, we stopped in a small towns and we were able to buy some bread, cheese, snacks etc, which were pretty economical.. maybe 10-12 for the two of us... but on some of the travel days in italy, we stopped at road side stops... some of them were pretty expensive if you didn't really shop around. I think the most we paid was about 38 euros! and that was for 2 cokes, 2 small plates of pasta and 2 small pieces of chicken...

I would budget about 15-20 euros a person a day for lunch and you should be more or less covered.

oh ya, at one stop we had burger king... for 2 whopper value meals we paid about 18 euros!
