Hello fellow travelers,

Just checking to see if anyone else might be booked on this tour leaving on July 18. I'm not sure if this is a new tour since I don't see lot of postings/inquiries for it, but I'm taking a chance and going for it. I did one of the winter tours(Northern Italy) last year and it was so much fun, but I think taking a Breakaway tour would be even better considering the age group.

I just registered for the Mediterranean Adventure June 20-July 1st tour! Never been on a tour group, but am looking forward to getting out to Europe.

Oh good! I was starting to wonder if anyone else from our trip is on the boards. Where are you from? I'm 33/F traveling solo from NJ. I can't wait to see all the sights!

My husband and I are from Trinidad in the Caribbean we are in our late 20's this wasn't are original tour choice but this one looks like more fun anyway!

Ooh, if our trip gets canceled (which I'm sure it won't), we can just go visit you and your hubby in the Caribbean! ;-)

Well, I heard some bad news....my tour has been cancelled and will no longer be offered. Needless to say I'm very disappointed but life goes on. Trafalgar offered me similar tour that runs with Contiki and is 2 days longer. They will cover all the differences in the tour price, as well as the changes I have to make for my flights. After the tour I was going to stay in Europe for another month, so I already had my tickets booked and everything arranged. I booked with Contiki but I don't know what to expect, I know the crowd tends to be younger but I really hope for the best.
I’m really surprised that the tour has been withdrawn since it was a guaranteed departure.

ntt ~ I am sorry your tour has been cancelled When you say 'will no longer be offered' do you mean the whole tour (every date) has been withdrawn?

This is the tenth tour cancellation I've heard about recently.

Yes, every date is cancelled, at least that's what I understand under withdrawn.

This story of cancelled tour comes as a bit of a shock.
We've always been advised,make sure each trip we choose has the TT`triangle` of guarantee along side of it.
Now, with only three weeks to go for our double tour,we're crossing our fingers that we don't get a similar shock !

Also, I believe Breakaway tours tend to suffer a higher cancellation rate.

It was only a couple of months ago that all the Costsaver tours to USA were withdrawn from the Australian program.

My travel agent just spoke to Trafalgar and says that the Mediterranean Adventure tour for June 20-July 1st is confirmed and definitely happening.

My travel documents were printed and are hitting the mail this week and my agent advises that people contact their own travel agents to confirm before posting rumors that all trips are canceled.
